Cathie and Abe Imes and Pattie Jensen of the Denver area were guests of Ron and Carol Jensen from Friday evening until Monday morning. Saturday evening, they enjoyed supper in Boelus with Courtney Hutchinson, Joslyn Jensen, Rick and Judy Kimball of Dacono, Chris Kimball, Adam and Jennifer Kimball, Dan and Cheri Kimball, and Ray and Amy Steele, all from the Denver area, to celebrate Ron’s birthday. On Sunday afternoon, Carol Jensen, Pattie Jensen, and Cathie and Abe Imes hosted the eightieth birthday open house for Ron at the Cotesfield Community Center, which was attended by many relatives and friends.

On two separate occasions this past week, I found myself in a gymnasium that was full of fans. And in both instances, the crowd was, at times, so loud that the building almost seemed to shake.

The readings on the internet still show “ice”. As the river here opened up quite a bit on Sunday, I was hoping we would have some readings. Hopefully, next week. As for wildlife, we are seeing a few more ducks than we did last week, and it doesn’t feel like the goose population is declining. Shawn told me he saw several flocks of snow geese flying by.
