The discharge of a sheriff’s deputy’s sidearm caused damage to a glass door and its frame inside St. Paul Public Schools (SPPS) on Wednesday, August 23rd, according to Howard County Sheriff Tom Busch last week.

The Greenwing Field Day was held on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the former Tri County Sand and Gravel site and the Shelly Wolinski and Kerry Kolar home near the river. With the sixty-seven registered kids, the helpers, the parents, and the grandparents there were approximately one hundred-forty in attendance. There were four age groups and four stations, including fishing, water safety/kayaking, archery, firearm safety, and BB gun target practice. They all enjoyed lunch and a drawing for prizes.

Miles and Riley Keep of Scotia were Saturday guests of their grandparents, Greg and Vicki Keep. On Wednesday morning, Dave and Barbara Tuma went to Kearney, where Barbara had a medical appointment.
