At that moment, Cougar fans realized something that the players on the field and the coaches on the sideline knew before the bus ever pulled into Humphrey.

CENTRAL VALLEY has twelve bowlers competing during the school’s eighth year of Unified Bowling. Only four of those bowlers are returning lettermen. Members include Mattie Schumacher, Katie Middendorf, Aubry Hansen, Brooklyn Perrott, Annaka Wood, Cami Redinger, Ethan Lobner, Tenley Perrott, Bentleigh Dugan, Trasa Klein, and Payton Kniss.

Central Valley bests Overton in consolation finals at state Some new hardware will now be prominently featured at Central Valley High School, as the Cougars took home a third-place finish in the Class D-2 State Volleyball Tournament last Saturday morning, defeating the defending state champions, Overton, 3-1, at Lincoln North Star High School. “I think they really wanted to win today,” Coach Diane Kasselder said of her team.

Undefeated Warriors dash Cougars’ title hopes

Thursday’s win over Amherst vaulted the Central Valley Cougars in the semifinal round of the Class D2 State Volleyball Tournament, where undefeated, top-seeded Leyton (35-0) was waiting for them. Despite only five points separating the two teams throughout the first two sets, the Warriors eked out wins on both occasions, 2522 and 26-24.
