To sum up my ramblings this week, they put the fat kid in charge of the pie contest, and things didn’t go as awry as expected. The bakers cheered, the onlookers were elated, and the event went off with only a hitch or two.

The South Loup River on Sunday morning had a discharge of 157 cubic feet per second and a height of 2.26 feet. The Middle Loup River discharge was 860 cubic feet per second and a height of 1.27 feet. The rivers had dropped quite a bit since last Monday.
