Robert R. “Rob” Kunze, 46, of Aurora, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025, in Polk County.

Dorothy Francl, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who knew her, passed away at the Tiffany Square Nursing Home in Grand Island on May 14th, at 101. Dorothy was born on November 5, 1923 to Charles and Minnie (Klein) Glines.

Cyril A. “Charlie” Skorupa, 81, of Grand Island, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Bickford Assisted Living in Grand Island. A funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grand Island with Father Dave Rykwalder officiating. Burial will follow at the Grand Island City Cemetery.

Russell McCray Powers, Jr., 82, of Dannebrog, died unexpectedly at his home on May 1, 2025. A celebration of Russell’s life was held on May 17, 2025 at the Fire and Rescue Station in Dannebrog.
