Stanley H. Kurczodyna
Stanley H. Kurczodyna, 67, of Grand Island, died Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Bryan Medical Center East in Lincoln.
Memorial services were held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Peters Funeral Home in St. Paul. Reverend Nicole Schwartz-Eck officiated.
Recorded selections included “The Old Rugged Cross” by Alan Jackson and “Daddy’s Girl” by Red Sovine.
Honorary bearers included Kinley Kurczodyna, Jaxsen Tagel, Brexten Tagel, Greyson Greuter, M’Kenna Depaulis, Aaron Depaulis, Analeigh Depaulis, Aerolyn Depaulis, Kirk Greuter, and Jenea Greuter.
Inurnment was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Dannebrog.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
Peters Funeral Home of St. Paul is assisting the family.
Stanley was born August 3, 1957, in Boise, Idaho, the son of Janice (Bronson) Kurczodyna. He soon gained his stepfather, and the man he called dad, Dale Smith.
He worked as an overthe- road truck driver his entire working life.
Stanley is survived by his children and their families, Stacie and Brent Tagel of Dannebrog and their children, Jaxsen and Brexten; Joyce and Terry Greuter of Grand Island and their children, Kinley, Greyson, M’Kenna and her husband, Aaron, Kirk, and Jenea; and son, Jerome Kurczodyna and special friend, Julie L. of St. Libory; two great-grandchildren, Analeiah and Aerolyn; two brothers, Ray and Tammie Smith of Grand Island and Ashton Lee and Kandi Smith of Kearney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Joshua Wilson; and brothers, Bob and Eddie.
