Richard H. Cordes, 89, of Norfolk, formerly of Wolbach, died on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
Services were held on Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach.

Soldiers” was the congregational hymn. Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery in Wolbach, with graveside military honors by Ray Mapes American Legion Post 236 and the U.S. Army Funeral Honors Team. Casketbearers included JR French, Wyatt Lee, Brett Houtby, Evan French, Jess Rother, Michael Cordes, Eric French, and Matt Cordes.
Honorary pallbearers included Shane Houtby, Art Anderson, Donnie Bernie, Randy Christensen, Bryce Rother, Ron Abboud, Larry Geek, Steve Abboud, Myron Rother, Bryan Abboud, and Larry Steenson. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
Peters Funeral Home of St. Paul is assisting the family.
Richard Henry Cordes was born on the family farm north of Wolbach to George and Minnie (Rother) Cordes on December 22, 1934.
