Peggy Richter
Peggy Richter, 77, of Aurora passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at her home in Aurora after a courageous battle with cancer.
Peggy’s wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 5th at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg. Reverend Ricardo Riqueza will officiate. Inurnment will be in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. No visitation will be held. Memorials may be made to the family to designate at a later date.

Peggy Anne Richter, the daughter of Fred and Olivia (Johnson) Aye, was born at Lincoln on February 18, 1948 and passed away at Aurora on March 29, 2025 at the age of seventy-seven.
She grew up in St. Paul and moved briefly to Lincoln, before later returning to St. Paul. Peggy was raised by her grandparents, Herman and Annie Johnson, after her mother’s death.
She graduated from St. Paul High School in 1966.
After high school, Peggy worked as a legal secretary at Shaughnessy Law Firm until 1984, when she began working for Luebs Law Firm (Smith, Johnson, Allen, Connick & Hansen) until her retirement in 2020.
Peggy’s most precious gifts from her first marriage were her children, Corey and Keri.
Peggy married Roy Richter on August 4, 1984 at Aurora. They had a wonderful life together. Roy passed away on August 24, 2000.
Peggy was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, where she served on the church council and was treasurer until 2025. She loved working the Annual Abelskiver Feed with Opal Christensen. Peggy enjoyed doing yard work and being outside. She also cherished her family, friends, and her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; husband, Roy; brother, Daniel; and many uncles and aunts.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Corey Goettsche of Lincoln; daughter, Keri Goettsche of Aurora; granddaughter, Ana Goettsche of Lincoln; and Roy’s children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. Peggy’s family includes Tori and Nick Hurlbut, Landon and Paisley of Aurora; Albert and Kali Hauschild of Aurora; Bobbi Jo Sandberg and JJ Blickfeldt of Aurora, Zildjian and Zepplin; and Ronna and Keith Christensen of St. Paul plus many other friends.
