Marian Lousie Cassell, 76, of St. Paul, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, in St. Paul, at her residence at Brookfield Park Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Private family services will be held at Jacobsen- Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date. Jacobsen-Greenway- Dietz funeral Home in St. Paul is assisting the family.
Marian was born on October, 2, 1947, in Omaha, to Kenneth and Mary (Makrrel) Toellner. She grew up in Omaha and graduated from Northwest High School. Marian was a lifelong restaurant worker. She was a waitress at Stagecoach and the Hilltop Inn in Ogallala. She was an avid reader, with her favorite author being Clive Cussler. Marian enjoyed being home, watching old westerns, and spending time with her family. There wasn’t a rummage sale or auction that she missed. She lived with her significant other, Lyle, in Minnesota. They enjoyed road tripping through Minnesota, South Dakota, and Nebraska.
Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Alan (Melanie) Cassell of St. Paul, Mike (Brenda) Copeland of St. Edward, and Kenny Cassell of North Platte; daughter, June (Kevin) Coyle of Ogallala; grandchildren, Heidi and Brianna Cassell, Keefe Labart, Makayla (Brandon) Garman, and Jadyn (Kenneth) Sisson; and seven great-grandchildren.
Marian is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenneth Toellner; sister, Pat Lamont; and significant other, Lyle Leetch.
