Judy Ann (Roschynialski) Mingus passed from our lives on August 11, 2025, after living and wearing out her body for more than eighty-five years.

Judy was born in rural Sherman County on May 22, 1940. She graduated in 1957 from Grand Island Senior High School in Grand Island.

Judy married Ralph D. Mingus on April 23, 1959. Their marriage started in the Cotesfield area; the couple then moved to the Dannebrog farm, where they resided, nurtured their children, and supported their community.

The village of family sharing Judy’s memories includes her husband, Ralph Mingus; children, Ruth (Tom) Jamieson, Sally Mingus (Wayne Wall), Roy (Lori) Mingus, and Chris (Bill) Adam; grandchildren, Stacey Jamieson, Stephanie Jamieson, Courtney Patterson, Angela (Matt) Wheeler, Brie (Ian) Simmons, Saxon (Gabby) Mingus, Aidan Mingus, Rhogan Mingus, Sarah Adam, and Jamie Adam; great- grandchildren, Travis, Trent, Teagan, Alivia, Owen, Nessie, and twins due in January; along with many nieces and nephews that are like grandchildren; sisters, Gloria (Fred) Otradovsky and Susan Baille; and brother-inlaw, Chuck Aubushon.

The village of family greeting her will be her parents, Stanley and Elizabeth (Barent) Roschynialski; her inlaws, Wallace and Anna (Nielsen) Mingus; sister, Dorothy Aubushon; and many in-laws.

Judy’s heart was donated for cardiac disease research.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Jacobsen- Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul.

A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Jacobsen- Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul. The service will be livestreamed, with a link to follow.

In lieu of flowers or memorials, donations are requested to be made to Dannebrog/Boelus Rescue Trust Fund in her name.
