John L. Ingraham
John L. Ingraham, 67, of Omaha, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the Douglas County Health Center in Omaha.
John was born on August 12, 1958, in Ord, to John and Alice Garvel Ingraham.
He was baptized at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Scotia, where he was confirmed and received communion. He graduated from North Loup-Scotia High School in 1977.
John was a man of many talents with a generous and compassionate heart. He was a naturally gifted artist, enjoyed gardening, and loved all of God’s creatures. His greatest joy was found in the kitchen, where his passion for cooking became a way to serve others. John loved being a chef at both the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha and Ridgewood Senior Living in Bennington. He enjoyed spending time with the elderly and cherished his family.
John is survived by his mother, Alice Garvel Fox of St. Paul; sisters, Deb (Gary) Satchell of Livingston, Texas, and Kim (Jim) Hixson of Randolph; brother, Tim Ingraham of Arcadia; nieces and nephews, Terence (Krista) Satchell, Patrick Satchell, Malerie (Seth) Wilmes, and Judson (Madeline) Hixson. John was preceded in death by his father, John Ingraham and grandparents, John and Eleonora Garvel and John and Hazel Ingraham.
A memorial service will be held on May 1, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Jacobsen- Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St.
Paul. A private Inurnment will be held at St.
Francis Catholic Cemetery in Ashton. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
