Ernest Kenneth Stanczyk

Ernest Kenneth Stanczyk died peacefully on November 7, 2024, at the age of 79, at his home in Beatrice. Kenny was born on January 12, 1945 to Ernest and Madelon Stanczyk in Abilene, Texas.

Kenny is survived by his children, Marci Reffert (Rod), Randi Aksamit (Doug), and Sean Stanczyk (Barb); grandchildren, Robin and Brooke Rathbone, Zachary (Alexandria), and Abigail Stanczyk; three great grandchildren; and siblings, Lonnie Stanczyk, David Stanczyk, Linda Condemi, and Bobby Stanczyk.

Kenny graduated from St. Paul high school in 1963 and went to trade school in Milford to study auto body repair. He served with the United States Army Guard 259th unit, in 1968 until 1969 as staff sergeant of ordinance explosives. He bravely fought for his country in Vietnam, serving in Da Nang and Chu Lai for eighteen months. Kenny made his career working for the Union Pacific Railroad as an engineer for thirty- six years.

Kenny was cremated as per his wishes; the family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
