Eric Anthony Czaplewski, 19, of Grand Island, went to be with his eternal Savior on April 22, 2024. He gave the gift of life through organ donation. Eric’s organs have restored life’s promise for many families. Honoring his generous soul, the gift of life was shared with many people in need through organ donation.
A celebration of Eric’s life was held on Friday, May 3, 2024 at Northridge Assembly of God in Grand Island. Pastor Shawn Haffner officiated. Music selections included “Save A Place For Me,” and “Scars In Heaven.” Interment was in the Grand Island City Cemetery. Pallbearers included Derek Hempel, Kevin Hempel, Shawn Czaplewski, Greg Czaplewski, Travis Freeman, and Randy Berst.
A visitation was held on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Northridge Assembly of God in Grand Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Eric’s family to be designated at a later date.
Eric was born on June 7, 2004, to Scott and Rachel (Hempel) Czaplewski in Grand Island. He grew up in Grand Island and graduated from Northwest High School in 2023. Eric was employed as a delivery driver for Pizza Hut in Grand Island. He loved his job and always looked forward to visiting with the customers. He had a radiant smile and his laughter was extremely contagious. He had a heart of gold and would always go the extra mile to help someone.
Eric enjoyed collecting and learning about rocks, starting at the age of two. He adored his sister, Haley, and brothers, Alex, Chase, and Ethan,

always making time for them. Other hobbies included collecting coins, space, and hiking in the Black Hills.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Scott and Rachel Czaplewski of Grand Island; sister, Haley Czaplewski of Grand Island; brothers, Alex, Chase, and Ethan Czaplewski, all of Grand Island; grandmothers, Vonnie Czaplewski of St. Paul and Diane Hempel of Poplar, Montana; aunts and uncles, numerous cousins; and friends.
Eric was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Anthony (Tony) Czaplewski and Kenneth Hempel, and cousin, Leslie Keiser.
