Douglas “Doug” Polzkill, 62, of Grand Island, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Merrick County Medical Center in Central City.

Douglas William Polzkill was born June 17, 1962, in Central City. He was the youngest child of John William and Phyllis Arlene (Land) Polzkill. He joined his older siblings, Bill, Carol, Delbert, and Rick his childhood was spent in Merrick and Hamilton counties.

Doug was very mechanical, he enjoyed working on his vehicles, always keeping them in tiptop shape. He enjoyed being busy.

Doug is survived by his special friend, Teri Money; daughter, Jessica Polzkill; son, Brady Wilson; granddaughter, Audrena Polzkill; brothers, Bill and (Gloria) Polzkill and Rick and (Margaret) Polzkill; sister, Carol and Peanuts Volesky; sister-in-law, Deb (Polzkill) Miller; niece, Elizbeth Getrost; and nephew, Jonathan Polzkill.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Delbert Polzkill; grandparents; and his beloved furry friend, Gus.
