Dean M. Dorszynski, 77, of St. Paul, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Brookefield Park Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in St. Paul.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul. Interment with military honors was held in the Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul. Deacon Phil Lukasiewicz officiated.

Selections included “Go Rest High On That Mountain,” “Country Roads Take Me Home,” and “Happy Trails.”

Pallbearers were Jared Dorszynski, Collin Dorszynski, Kade Dorszynski, Sydney Stewart, and Kolby Lukasiewicz.

Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.

Dean was born on September 25, 1948, in Cottage Grove, Oregon, to Marion and Philomena (Pawloski) Dorszynski. He grew up in St. Paul and received his elementary education at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Parochial School. Dean graduated from St. Paul High School in 1967. He entered the United States Army on March 19, 1969, served as a vehicle mechanic specialist overseas, and was honorably discharged on March 18, 1975. Dean was united in marriage to Darlene Drabek on May 31, 1969, in Loup City. To this union, two children were born, Dan and Shelly. The couple later divorced.

Dean was employed by Clayton Petersen Motor Company, Farmers Union, and Aurora Co-op. He retired in 2013 after thirty-five years of serving the farmers of Howard County. He enjoyed playing cards and bingo, watching Western movies, Husker football, and trying his luck at scratch-off lottery tickets. You could always find him at Skyline Cafe having coffee with his buddies. He will be remembered for being a loyal servant who truly enjoyed helping others. Dean was a member of the Carl Mogensen American Legion Club Post 119 in St. Paul.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Michelle Dorszynski of Minden; daughter and son-in-law, Shelly and Kip Lukasiewicz of Farwell; grandchildren, Jared Dorszynski of Holdrege, Collin (Amy) Dorszynski of Ames, Iowa, Kade Dorszynski of Minden, Sydney (Blake) Stewart of Grand Island, and Kolby Lukasiewicz (Addie Sullivan) of Kearney; and great-granddaughters, Aleah, Insley, Tatum, and Peyton.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents.
