David Christopher Adams, 44, of Burwell (formerly of Ord), passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025, at home with his family by his side.

A celebration of David’s life was held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Jacobsen-Greenway- Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul. Memorials are suggested to the family or to the Paws Ranch Rescue and Animal Sanctuary (865 S. Loop 1604 E., San Antonio, Texas 78264).

David was born on February 22, 1981, in San Antonio, Texas, to Tomie Lee and Virginia (Reyes) Adams. He received his education at Southside Independent School District in San Antonio, and graduated in 1999 from Southwest Preparatory School in San Antonio, Texas. David was a very giving person and loved all kinds of animals. He served an intricate part of Paws Ranch and worked there for ten years. He moved to Ord in 2020, and then to Burwell in 2022. He was employed by Pizza Hut in Ord before SubConn in Burwell, and most recently by Family Dollar in Ord.

David’s hobbies included fishing and hunting, as well as racing cars, and playing video games, and he was known as a “shade tree mechanic.”

Those left to cherish his memory include his brother and sister-in-law, Cruz and Yvette Gonzalez of Ord; three nieces, Katherine and Derrick Gadsby of Ord, Lialani Hernandez of San Antonio, Texas, and Audrey Partida of Ord; four great-nephews, Antonio Gadsby, Vernon Gadsby, and Ezra Gadsby, all of Ord, and Luka Golding of San Antonio; and one great-niece, Mary Lynn Gadsby of Ord; as well as family and friends in Texas.

David was preceded in death by his parents; and his fur-babies.
