Agnes Marie Cernik, 93, of St. Paul, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Brookefield Park Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in St. Paul.

Private funeral services will be held at Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul. Private interment will be in the Ord Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family for designation at a later date.

Agnes was born on August 15, 1932, in Sargent, to Joe and Barbara (Vodehnal) Cernik. She graduated from Ord High School in 1950. Agnes worked for fifty-two years at Ord irrigation as the district’s office manager. She also served as the cooperative secretary for NLID.

Agnes was a devoted longtime member of the Ord Methodist Church, and she taught Sunday school for many years. She was also active for fifty years with the Ord Methodist Church Education Opportunity for Women and the Ord VFW Auxiliary.

Those left to cherish her memory include her nieces, Marilyn Dugger and Kim Rowe (Rusty); nephew, Rich Cernik (Penny); great-nieces, Jennifer, Michelle, Meaghan, Melissa, Racheal, Kayla, Kelly, and Dana; great-nephews, Bob, Chris, Brian, Mike; and twenty-nine great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

Agnes was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Kapustka; father, Joe Cernik; stepfather, Bolish Kapustka; and brother and sister-in-law, Alvin and Carol Cernik; two nephews, Kenneth Cernik and Keith Cernik; two nieces, Sandra Cernik and Linda Doncheske; and nephew-in-law, Diedrich “D.D” Dugger.
