Marti M. Paczosa

Marti M. Paczosa, 69, of Grand Island, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025 at CHI Health— St. Francis in Grand Island.

A celebration of her life, with family greeting friends, was held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Jacobsen- Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul. Guests were encouraged to wear yellow attire, as it was Marti’s favorite color. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.

Marti was born on September 1, 1955, to Albin and Lorena (Hartland) Paczosa, in Winner, South Dakota, where she was also raised and received her education. She enjoyed playing pool, baking, and cooking. Her favorite snack was popcorn.

She had a pet squirrel, which made her fond of all squirrels, and Marti found great joy in taking care of her fur babies: a pit bull named Artie, a chocolate lab named Duke, a black lab also named Duke, and a pug named Princess.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters and son-inlaw, Melissa and Jason Young of Lisbon Falls, Maine, and Alexis Paczosa of Lincoln; son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Barb Warford of Doniphan; sisters and brother-in-law, MaryDel and Jim Roy of Boelus, Trena Paczosa of Malvern, Iowa; brother and sisters-in-law, Marshall and Cynthia Paczosa of Elba, Marcus and Rhonda Paczosa of St. Paul; grandchildren, Christina Brandon, Trevor Warford, Bianca Warford, Emily Warford, Dalton Paczosa, Gavin Young, and Lexis Paczosa; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Marti was preceded in death by her father, Albin Paczosa, and mother, Lorena Paczosa.
