Paul was born on March 22, 1956, in Loup City, the son of Edwin J. and Rita M. (Peters) Budzinski.
As a child he moved with his family to St. Paul where he attended Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School.
He was united in marriage to Diane L. Blackburn on February 13, 1981, at Cairo. Two children were born to this union, Jessica and Jeffrey.
Over the years, Paul worked at Fonner Park in Grand Island, working with the horses. In 2019, he moved to Lincoln, where he worked for his brothers at Ken’s Kegs and Kong’s Liquor.
Paul was an avid Husker fan in all sports, especially football, basketball, and wrestling. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He lived for sports, but most importantly for his children, grandchildren, brothers, sister, and family. They truly were his everything. He was a good man with a fun sense of humor that could always lighten the mood. He will be so dearly missed by so many. As he’s heavy on our hearts, we know he’s welcomed with open arms in heaven.
He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his daughter and son-inlaw, Jessica and Brent Levander of Fort Mill, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Tanner, Skyler, Elise, and Briella Levander; siblings, Dave Budzinski and Mike and Sandra Budzinski, all of Lincoln, and Mary Friedrichsen of Palmer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeffrey; brother, Richard Budzinski; and brotherin- law, Jeff Friedrichsen.
