Ty Cole Anderson, 31, of St. Paul, died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at his home. Memorial services were held on Monday, May 20, 2024 at the St.
Paul Civic Center in St.
Paul. The Pastor Greg Bovier officiated.
Dan Nielsen was the soloist, Linda Kezeor was the pianist. Musical selections included “Borning Cry” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” Congregational hymns were “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)” and “Blessed Assurance.”
Honorary bearers included Jerrad Swanson, Reed Anderson, Taylor Gouldie, Dustin Jacobs, Taylor Cook, Nathan Timmons, and Brian Dixson.
Private family inurnment was in the Elmwood Cemetery in St.
Paul.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
Peters Funeral Home of St. Paul is assisting the family.
Ty was born on November 24, 1992, at Grand Island, the son of Ernest F. “Junior” and Pat L. (Forbes) Anderson. He grew up on the family farm northeast of St. Paul, near Cushing.
He attended St. Paul Public Schools and graduated from St. Paul High School in 2011. He then attended Doane University in Crete, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in 2015, graduating Magna Cum Laude. While attending Doane, he met the love of his life, Mollie. He returned to farm with his parents and brother, Reed.
He and Mollie Ann Carpenter were united in marriage on April 22, 2017 in Lincoln. The couple lived and farmed near Cushing and were blessed with a daughter, Norah, on June 6, 2019.
Ty was a perfectionist and absolutely loved farming. He wanted to continue to grow the family farm and strove to upgrade the operations into the Twenty- First Century. He also loved flying drones and was very tech savvy. He could fix and solve any technological problem.
Ty also inherited his love for air boating from his father. Ty never met a stranger, was known to be ornery, and was always quick with a joke. He is survived by his wife and daughter, Mollie and Norah Anderson of St. Paul; mother, Pat Anderson of St. Paul; sister, Michelle and Rob Colgrove of Lincoln and their children, Caleb and Cassandra; brother, Reed Anderson of St.
Paul and his children, McKenna, Mason, Ryder, and William; his grandfather, James Forbes of Palmer; in-laws, Mike and Brenda Carpenter of Lincoln; and sisters-inlaw, Meghan Carpenter of Lincoln and Maddie Carpenter and fiancé, Morgan McArthur of Athens, Georgia; his beloved dog, Jakki; and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Junior Anderson, on February 4, 2023; and his grandparents, Anna Forbes and Ernest, Sr. and LaVonne Anderson.
