Janice Ann (Wolf) Otter
Janice Ann Wolf was born on October 30, 1942 to Frank Joseph and Neva Catherine (Morrison) Wolf. She was raised on a farm near Dannebrog. Throughout her life, Jan was active in keeping her District 16, one-room school, and Dannebrog High School classmates together for reunions and other socials.
She was as a highly accomplished insurance agent for Central States of Omaha (CSO). She worked for CSO well through the 1980s and became semi-retired in the 1990s.
Jan loved to travel, and her favorite destination was Israel, where she could walk in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. She also was an avid supporter of the performing arts. She always had season tickets for the Omaha Community Playhouse. Jan volunteered at the playhouse, and for the City of Omaha for live events. She loved Christmas, and would go over the top decorating her home for the holiday, hand-making Christmas ornaments and giving them away.
She is proceeded in death by her parents and her brother, Carroll Wayne. Jan is survived by her son: Steven Wolf and daughter- in-law, Keery, of Ponce Inlet, Florida; granddaughters: Hailey Neva Wolf of Hartford, Connecticut; Sydney Allison Nistler of Landstuhl, Germany; Amanda Keery Kelly of Cork, Ireland; Erin Maeve Wolf of Juneau, Alaska; The Phonograph-Herald | January 10, 2024
and Anna Rose Wolf of Ponce Inlet, Florida; stepson, Raymond Otter, Jr., step daughter-in-law, Tracy, and their children, Kristyn, Bridgette and Theresa; and great-grandchildren: Rose Vera and Quinn Catherine Kelly of Cork, Ireland; and Franklin Louis and Theresa Pia Nistler of Landstuhl, Germany.
A visitation and Trisagion service was held on Sunday, January 7th, and a funeral service was held on Monday, January 8th, at St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church in Omaha. A burial was held at Westlawn Memorial Park in Grand Island.
