As of Thursday evening, the South Loup River is running higher than last Sunday, with 139 cubic feet per second (cfs) compared to last week’s 118 cfs. The Middle Loup River at St. Paul is down again this week, with a reading of 933 cfs compared to the 1,050 cfs on Sunday. I see a lot of ice flowing down the river. Mid-November seems too soon to be having it, but I am thankful it is floating on down and not backing up and causing flooding.

The meal is hosted at the church, but it depends heavily on all the volunteers from the community, and it is truly a community effort. Organizers are excited to be able to gather and serve this year inhouse. Come join the table to find your neighbors and friends! Entrance and parking for dining in will be on Indian and Ninth streets. The church will also be serving take-outs on the west side of the building, Eighth Street, drive through style.
