The Howard-Greeley County area is no longer in a drought, which is the case for much of Nebraska. Most of the state has experienced rainfall since the last release of the drought information on Thursday and more rains are predicted this week, which could move more areas out of the abnormally dry category.

New Danneborg shop looks to be a hub for local artisans

Thanks to the efforts of Lori and Verlen Larsen, a shop that had sat vacant in Dannebrog’s main business district for years became the home of a new venture this summer. Newly dubbed The Treasure Trove, 109 Mill Street is now a repository and store, displaying and selling treasures from creators and collectors from Dannebrog and beyond.
