We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Gayle Harold “Windy” Windolph on January 6, 2024. Windy was eighty-one years young. He was a son, a brother, a loving husband, a dad, a papa, an uncle, a friend, and a hero. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Cairo United Methodist Church with Pastor Kalaba Kapundu officiating. September 8, 1962 – December 28, 2023. Mark served in the Army for four years. Then, he worked for the United States Post Office in Omaha for over twenty years until his retirement. Mark enjoyed playing golf and cheering on his Seattle Seahawks.

Janice Ann Wolf was born on October 30, 1942 to Frank Joseph and Neva Catherine (Morrison) Wolf. She was raised on a farm near Dannebrog. Throughout her life, Jan was active in keeping her District 16, one-room school, and Dannebrog High School classmates together for reunions and other socials.
