Stan joined the Navy out of high school, but once he and Georgia settled in Lincoln, he joined the Lincoln police force. After the police force, Stan and Georgia had stops in Clarks, Kearney, and Grand Island, where Stan worked in the insurance industry. There, he sold siding and windows, and eventually started long-haul truck driving, which led Stan and Georgia to settle

back in Lincoln. At the time of his passing, Stan was working parttime as a shag driver. Stan loved to talk about his family to whoever would listen, and he just enjoyed spending time with his family.

Stan is survived in his immediate family by two sons, Troy of Grand Island and Scott of Ramsey, Minnesota; one daughter, Heather of Lincoln; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers, Kurt of Boelus and Richard of St. Libory; and a sister, Connie of La Vista.

Stan was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia; daughter, Terri; father, Darrel; mother, Julia; and his brothers, Ronald and Greg. He was also preceded by an infant brother, Kenneth.
