On February 15, 1954, Vangie was united in marriage to Earl Markvicka at St. Francis Catholic Church in Ashton. Vangie was later united in marriage to Gailord Obermiller on May 14, 1993, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul.
