Saturday Morning Blitz

Four area high school football teams opened their 2022 seasons Friday night.

St. Paul High School started the year on the road at O’Neill, with the Wildcats topping the host Eagles 42-6. Centura High School blanked Grand Island Central Catholic 28-0. Central Valley edged Fullerton 32-30. Palmer was toppled by Silver Lake 60-36.

The Elba Bluejays opened their 2022 season on Thursday night, with the Purple and Gold falling to Shelton 58-12.
