Julie Spilinek attended the Memorial Day service at the Elba Cemetery. In the evening, she attended the t-ball game in Elba to watch Blayden Stenka play.

Gale and Helen Lassen and Jason attended the Dannevirke Celebration on Sunday afternoon and evening.

Marvin and Betty Poss attended the Memorial Day dinner at St. Francis Hall in Ashton.

Herb and Diana Schimek of Lincoln, Al and Linda Schimek, and Bob and Pat Schimek of North Platte (all nephews of Kathryn lngerle) and Coleen lngerle met at Brookefield Park in St. Paul on May 27th and spent some time with Aunt Kathryn.

Julie Spilinek attended the funeral service for John Jarzynka last Friday morning in St. Libory.

Randy and Deb Mewis of Kearney were last Sunday visitors of Coleen lngerle. They visited the Cotesfield Cemetery and then had a cookout at Coleen’s home.

Recently, Gary and Charlotte Rasmussen accompanied the Leo Lonnie Band from Brainard to Ennis, Texas for a short visit.

Joining Julie Spilinek for a cookout on May 29th were Thomas Spilinek and Alex Calleroz of Arcadia, Jason and Tonya Spilinek, Danica and Liam of Grand Island, Daniel and Erica Houdek and children of rural Farwell, John and Lisa Follmer of Kearney, Chelsea Spilinek and Noctis of Laurel, Tami Stenka, Russ and Missy Spilinek, Brady and Devanee, Matt and Amelia Retzlaff and Oliver, Ed Spilinek, and Taylor and Shelbea Gouldie, Dexter and Lilly.

Shelly Wolinski and Kerry Kolar spent the weekend camping near the river with several friends and family members.

Jim Ziola of Idaho was in the Elba area over the weekend visiting old friends and classmates. Jim was a classmate of Charlotte (Tuma) Rasmussen in the Class of 1962.

Sunday afternoon visitors of Coleen lngerle were Pastor Cheryl Anderson of Palmer, Carrie Otis, and Richard and Kathryn of Fremont.

Julie Spilinek attended the Thesaurean Writers Club meeting and lunch on Thursday afternoon at the Karen Koelling home in Ord. Others present were Fran Kaslon, Mary Schere, and LeeAnn Rowse of Burwell, and Pam Chambers of Comstock. The group discussed upcoming meetings and events.
