NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Howard Greeley Rural Public Power District Southern 69kV Tie
Substation (49-21)
Sealed proposals for the construction, including the supply of necessary labor, equipment, and material for the rural electric project of Howard Greeley Rural Public Power District. (hereinafter called the “Owner”) to be known as Southern 69kV Tie Substation {49-21) will be received on or before 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 3, 2025 at the office of the OWNER’s E GINE Rat RVW, Inc., 4118 Howard Boulevard. Columbus, NE 68601 Attn: Mr. Shawn Prochaska, Telephone (402) 564-2876, at which time and place all proposals will be publicly opened and read. Any proposal received after the time specified will be promptly returned to the Bidder unopened.
The Project will consist of furnishing labor, material, and equipment for the construction of one 10 MVA 69kV to 34.5kV Tie Substation. This will consist of the installation of a 69 kV rated tubular steel dead end, 34.5 kV rated tubular steel dead end, 34.5 kV recloser, 34.5kV metering, and other associated equipment and material for substation power delivery. Commencement is to begin as soon as contractor schedule allows and be completed by May 30, 2025.
The project is located in Hall County in the State of Nebraska, approximately 3 miles south of the town of St. Libory, Nebraska on the side east of Highway 281.
The Plans, Specifications for Construction, and Construction Drawings, together with all other necessary forms and documents for bidders may be viewed at the office of the Owner or obtained from the Engineer, RVW Inc., P.O. Box 495, Columbus, Nebraska 68602-0495, upon payment of forty dollars ($40), which payment is not subject to refund.
Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in form attached or a certified check of a bank that is a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, payable to the order of the Owner, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid price.
The Owner will award the contract to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest and best proposal or, at its sole discretion, may reject any or all proposals. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond with sureties listed by the United States Treasury Department as Acceptable Sureties, in a penal sum not less than the total contract price.
