Southwestern Howard County was the site of much pomp and circumstance on Saturday evening. Family members and friends from Dannebrog, Boelus, Cairo, and beyond made their way to Centura’s high school gymnasium for the Howard County school district’s fifty-seventh annual commencement exercises.

The accomplishments and successes of the St. Paul High School Class of 2024 were well-displayed on Sunday afternoon, with fifty-two students turning their tassels during the district’s annual commencement exercises.

Thirty-five seniors received their diplomas on Sunday afternoon, May 4th at St. Paul High School.

More than 100 St. Paul kindergarten through sixth graders walked to school together last Thursday morning as part of St. Paul Public Schools’ Elementary Walk to School Day, an annual spring celebration at the district.

The Bible tells us that God has given each of us different gifts and that He wants us to use these gifts in accordance with the grace that He has bestowed upon us. When we think about these special gifts that someone may possess, we naturally think about great talents like those of a famous artist, or a skilled surgeon. However, most of us have more common everyday gifts that we are required to use in our daily lives. We should try to recognize and take pride in the different gifts and talents that our Heavenly Father has given to us, and we should use these offerings for His glory. Whether we are given the gift of being a parent, a teacher, or a taxi driver, we should try to do our very best, and we should always be appreciative of God’s caring love for us. Our Lord wants the best for us, and our serving others, refl ects our love for Him.
